Ringling Circus close

Well in may of 2017 the Ringling brothers circus closed. It had been in operation for for 146 years. I found that it saddened me. I remember as a kid that it came to Idaho Falls. They actually paraded down main street. Across the bridge and through town. Dad took me to watch them put up the tent. It took a long time and my attention span was not that long so I found it boring except for the part were they pulled up the tent using a truck. They had elephants,but they were stares not work animals.

We went to the show and frankly it was wonder. I remember the high wire acts. The trapeze act, the lady on the spinning rope, and of course the tight rope act. I also remember four white horse and a woman who did all sorts of tricks. She stood on her head and many sorts of mounts and dismounts and once dismounted and ran across the ring to do a spring board mount. There was a dog act and a gymnastic troupe. Lastly there were the clowns. Some people don't like clowns, but I kind of enjoy them.

I guess at my age I sould realize that every thing changes. That things grow or die. There are worthy sucesors Circus Solay and others.And for many years the circus had stopped traveling and had just stayed in one place. Grow or die and it didn't grow so it died.
