Garland Tyree’s mom

Garland Tyree’s mom was talking about his shooting. Garland was barricaded in his house and set off a smoke bomb and when a fireman came to the door to help put out the fire Garland fired five shots hitting him twice. Later Garland came out and was shot dead. I don't have any details on what happened perhaps he was surendering and the shooting is a travestry of justice, but Garland's mother was not greiving for her freshly dead son.  

I was saddened it is obvious to me that she was interested in getting the most she can out of her son’s death. Her entire rant was focused on how Garland was an innocent boy who was who was led astray by the system and unjustly shot. Garland was a leader of the blood gang at least that is what I was told and had killed a man when he was 16. He had spent a large amount of his life in prison. Sadly I feel safer knowing that he is no longer in the world.

I feel sad after listening to her. I don’t think that she was a good mother. I feel that he didn’t have much of a chance because his mother didn’t love him the way a mother is supposed to and that his mother was more interested in what he could do for her. He wasn't taught to be an honest hardworking man he was taught to get as much as he could anyway he could.

I pray that she loves him more than she showed, and that he didn’t suffer when he died. I will pray for her and hope that God has a plan for men like Garland that doesn’t include hell.
