Wak in the Neighborhood

I just took a walk around the neighborhood. There is a trail not far from my house it is asphalt and short but nice. The trail is in two sections each with a different feel.

The walkway is essentially through the back yards of some of our neighbors. One of which is longer and goes about a mile long through patches of woods, but mostly along the edge of woods and backyards. One side is woods and one side is back yards. The wood side is quite pretty and there are wild flowers in the spring and summer.

There is a nice section after you leave the first trail and walk down a cul-de-sac you get a very short trail with a completely different feel you are surrounded by mostly pine trees the ground is covered in pine needles. The trail smells and feels like a pine forest. Every time I walk this short stretch of woods I am reminded of a section of woods in Yellowstone National park.

It is nice to have something like this a few hundred yards from the house.
