Well this was the first day here the trip went well and we got here in Main at about 5:15 we would have been here sooner but the Garmin decided it would be quicker to take the back roads. One of which I wouldn't have taken David's black Jeep up so we ended up seeing lots of back country roads some of which were dirt or more accurately mud.
We got here and went out to a local restaurant that had scallops that were great. Then we came home and talked and went to bed at 10;15 pm after we talked a bunch.
Today we wondered around one of the Bridgeton. We saw lots of shops Rick and Teresa bought wine bottle openers and some other stuff for their new wine / liquor celler. Tammy bought a new bathroom bag like the one we bough last time we wee here in 2008 and lost in 2013.
Once we got back to the house we went walking to a big willow that survived the fire that swept the area many years ago. It was a wonderful walk and Cannon (Rick and Teresa's water spaniel) Loved the romp through the woods.
We made a trip to Cornish Maine to look around the shops there. There were any nce shops. It seems obvious to me that much of the money that keeps these towns going is from tourists in the summer as many of them are only open on the weekend untill later in the season. These small towns in Main don't have the farming/ranching industry that keeps small towns in Idaho and Washington going. I am not sure what is keeping them alive.
Went to a resterant for lunch and it frankly had best Rubin I have ever had. I firmly sugest Krista's.(http://kristasrestaurant.com/) That and a blackberry Italian soda was wonderful.
Well this morning we went to the maritime museum there was lots to see better in the summer when it is warm. We were told that there would be docent's that would tell us about the shipbuilding.
Well we visited Lila and John and Paula. I drank too much wine, Lila is growing like a weed. Give her a few more weeks and then she will be be fun. Not that she isn't as cute as a bugs ear now.
Chuck and Barb mostly Barb got to peak at and play with Lila. They seemed to enjoy her Tammy has some pictures.
Well Last Monday Oct 24 2016 Deb Ritzema had her second open heart surgery. The first one was several years ago and they replaced her valve with a artificial valve that put her on kumiden which didn’t work so well she was forever fighting to keep the blood levels correct and the valve was too small.
Well this operation replaced the artificial valve and the other valve as well. She seems to be sleeping a lot but she looks better than she did last Wednesday. When I got here she was going to the bathroom and then took a walk down the hall. She is still in pain, but I think that she is betting better: I know that she looks better.
I am going to have to leave in about an half hour and right now she is sleeping. They gave her the pain meds just before I got here so I guess it is expected.
Hope that she feels better soon and doesn’t Have to take the pain meds soon.

Lila’s Baptism was today. (11/7/2016) There were about 6 kids being baptized many were wearing long white gowns. Lila was wearing a very cute short white gown. The baptism started at the front and she had oil marked as a cross on her forehead and then they anointed the back of the head with oil. It was quite smelly. (Probably it was frankincense and Myrrh.) They then went to the entry into the chapel were the holy water is and poured holy water on the babies.
When it was Lila’s turn we got up and clustered around the holy water basin. It was two pools out of some white stone. The upper pool was smaller and about waist high and there was a trickle over the edge falls that silently moved the water from the top to the bottom pool. The bottom pool was knee high and about twice as big as the top pool. Once the family clustered about the priest poured water over the back of Lila’s head three times saying Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Then they sent us back to our seats Jason and Juley lit a candle they are Lila’s god parents. Then they went to the alter and got the certificate and we got pictures all around.
